I had the chance to meet with Deborah Haynes, the lovely owner of Blush Beauty Bar to talk about upcoming trends and travel friendly beauty. Before I get into the fun products that we talked about let me tell you a little about the beauty bar. It is an adorable store in Portland Oregon, the walls are hot pink, and the store is full of thoughtfully procured items ranging from from Nars to Zoya and everything in between. It has been one of my favorite beauty stores since I discovered it when I was about 15, I even tried my first Nars product there, which has since become one of my favorite brands. Deborah gave me a lot of recommendations for various travel and trend goodies, so here is part 1 of her beauty recommendations: Travel Beauty.
TRAVALO. In the words of Deborah, this little gadget has “revolutionized beauty” and I couldn’t agree more. I too have been a fan of the Travalo for quite some time after picking it up just before a trip almost 2 years ago. It is a fantastic and affordable way to take your favorite fragrance with you; I especially like it for my perfumes that do not come in a travel size.
SUSAN POSNICK mineral foundation. SPF 26, great coverage, one step foundation, and all in a small portable travel friendly package. What more could a frequent traveler ask for?
APIVITA facial masks in cucumber & aloe. Fantastic for post airplane travel dehydration.
SOMME INSTITUTE MOBILE. A great skincare line in a tiny package all under the 3.4oz rule. Cleanser, serum, exfoliant, moisturizer, and sunscreen.
GOE OIL. An oil that solidifies at room temperature and melts into a luxurious all purpose moisturizing body oil. A wonderful way to rehydrate and soften your skin while on the road or in the sky.
VOLUSPA small candle. A nice way to bring a little comfort from home and make your hotel room a little less stuffy.
MINI KITTOUR travel makeup case. Complete with small bottles, jars, and brushes to use and put your daily products in.
